I like….

In light of the Australian Open Final where Roger Federer was defeated by Nadal, I decided it would be fun to state everything that I’m a fan of, and thus, everything I’m not a fan of. Maybe its because I was biting my nails, hoping Federer would win Nadal (which didn’t happen), and after the match ended, I felt that I hated Nadal for winning, just like I hated Hamilton for winning ( which I still think he did by cheating ). So here goes,

1. For Tennis, I support Roger Federer, not Nadal.

2. For Formula 1, I support Ferrari and I despise Hamilton, and Timo Glock for helping him.

3. For Football, I support Manchester United, Sunderland FC, Hamburg SV, Argentina and of course SINGAPORE.

4. For Golf, I’m a die hard fan of Tiger Woods.

5. For Basketball, I support Dickson from Innova JC ( He asked me to do this )

6. For Cricket, I support whoever that wins.

I can’t think of anymore. Do help me brainstorm.

Tagged.

According to your age, list down the number of things that most people don’t know about you. And then tag 5 people.

1. I DO NOT wish to thank faris for tagging me.

2. I’m only doing this because I woke up on Hari Raya Haji to find out that my family has left me to go visiting, and they couldn’t wake me up because I slept like a cow. Now I’m all alone at home.

3. I don’t know if you all know this, but I’m actually quite a shy person, serious!

4. I sleep with the television switched on because if the room gets too silent, my imagination does no favours by running wild and coming up with spooky images of pontianaks and what nots.

5. I have a father, a mother, a step-mother, a step-father and their respective families. It usually pays off during Hari Raya and Christmas and all other festive crap.

6. When I was younger, I thought I had magical powers because I could do extraordinary things like catching a bug, finding hidden things and so on. =.=

7. I really really really like this number 7, its quite significant to me.

8. I’m fine with 8, but that’s not important.

9. I don’t skip school often because I’m not confident of faking a sickness in front of the doctor.

10.  I’ve orchestrated a lot of birthday bashings this year, and I’m seriously thinking about skipping school during my whole birthday week next year.

11. I used to be neighbours with Cristiano Ronaldo and I’m actually related to Kaka. Okay, maybe not.

12. My 7 month old brother giggles everytime he looks at me. I’m still wondering why.

13.  My legs are itching to play competetive football and I think I’m gonna play against JJC this wednesday, even though it’s only 2 months after my surgery.

14.  I like songs from ‘The Killers’ and ‘Franz Ferdinand’.

15. My throat is sore right now.

16.I have two cans of 100 plus to my right, the homephone to my left, and a radio behind my laptop.

17. I actually find it unfair that Faris and friends get to end here, but I have to go for one more. Sucks or what?

18. Well well well, we’re finally here. Tell you what, I took about 3 hours to complete this. Now you tell me, what a waste of time it is.

I tag Shankari, Nurul, Nadira.

Chalet, chalet.

So spent Monday to Wednesday in a chalet situated just under the Old Changi Hospital with the class of 0812C. Had a blast the whole three days, maybe not on Wednesday though, had to leave early in the morning for physiotherapy. It wasn’t enjoyable at all, especially when you haven’t slept for days.

So back to the chalet, did quite a lot of stuff there. Monday spent most of the day waiting to get into the chalet, and it was spooky as it was the nearest one to OCH. We walked to Changi Village later on in the late afternoon to have dinner and we also took 20 bicycles for overnight rent. Cycled to the beach and enjoyed the sunset there before going back to the chalet.

We sat outside, most of us, and played truth or dare. Many dark secrets were spilled ( Right Nurul? ) and I thought we really bonded during that time and got to know each other better, at least for me. One of the better questions which went around for everyone to answer was “What was the wildest thing you’ve done?” From stealing bicycles ( HAHA! ) to other more private things. ( like boxer shorts and tank top. =P )

And we also got to know first impressions of ourselves from most people in the class. Well for me, many thought I was a MAT ( what’s new right? ), angry looking???, but one person thought that I was a good boy, and that was Pradeep. I agree with him whole heartedly. Now it feels like its much harder to accept the fact that some of us are not going to be promoted.

Waiting for Haja.

The million dollar smile okayy!

eating Eating at Changi Village.

So after eating McDonald’s breakfast at 5 in the morning, I went to sleep, freezing in the refrigerator-like room until about 10 in the morning. Took a shower and all of us went to return the bicycles and they went to have breakfast. Went back to play cards and slacked. The pegasus played poker and we had small amounts of bets. It was addictive I tell you. We played all the way till the BBQ stuff came and then the others went to help out. I slept for a while and then went down to be a busybody.

We ate and ate and all that till about 9 to 10. Thennnnn, all of us went as a group to visit the OCH. It wasn’t as scary as it looked from all the way down. But we went up to the top floor of the almost destroyed building and explored. All I felt was heat. Damn hot la! And throughout most of the escapade, Alina was grabbing my left arm, and it was almost crushed by her.

Went back and chilled and showered. After that, we went to play more truth or dare, which became just dare, and further became dare or death. Many funny things happened here, and Nurul would remember this day to the very end. Hahahahaha.

Went back home early in the morning and didn’t have time to rest before having to go for physiotherapy. HORRIBLE.

Here they are, 0812C!

It’s time to catch up.

Okay, like a true star, I’m here for a comeback. Okay, maybe not.

I guess I haven’t been filling ya’ll in to my “great and exciting” life. So as I wait for my movie “21” to buffer,  together with the sudden inspiration from Nash, I shall take this time to do just that. Starting from..

26th September 2008

Yeah, I did go to the Friday practice session for the Formula One race in Singapore, courtesy of Nash. He passed me two tickets for that day, so I thought, hey why not bring my dad along. He was the first person that came to mind, and finally I had something that would make him real happy. Even if it doesn’t last long, I bet he’ll remember it for a long time. Take a look,

29th September – 6th October 2008

The quite non-enjoyable days of my life. Exam period fused together with the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Studied, but not very hard, although I did bring my Econs notes with me on the first day of Raya, and I totally didn’t regret it coz I eventually got an ‘A’. Haha, woah. Went out to raya with the primary school mates as well, the weekend before the Chem paper. It’s a pity I rarely have pictures of myself during these traditional celebrations. And concluding the results, they were quite okay. Managed to pass everything except for Chemistry, which I failed by one mark, and still got third for it. So that explains a lot. Topped Physics and Econs and it made me a happy boy! =]

8th and 9th October 2008

Two days when the interhouse games were held. As usual, I participated in the futsal tournament. Tried to so called “defend” the title, but it appeared unsuccessful. On the first day, we played two matches, against Taurus and Rasalas. Won both, 2-1 and 3-2 respectively. Rasalas was a great match, where I made a stupid mistake as keeper, trying to do the “no-look” pass. Horrible. Luckily I repayed my mistake with a goal. Assured a medal on the second day, we were looking for the gold, but we lost to Faris’ Sagi team 1-0. Good match, and I was delighted to lose to Faris then anyone else, trust me, he deserves it. Since I’m so bored, here’s a picture of my shoe?

10th October 2008

Went for the “Amateur Takes Control” album launch at Sinema Old School together with Nash, Nadira, Shanky, Amira and Ghazal. They were quite awesome and they have a really unique sound. So after that, Shanky, Nash and me decided to chill out and check Clarke Quay out. We walked around and Nash got all excited with the clubbing scene. So we decided to go to Home Club ( Shank’s idea ), and perhaps try to sneak Nash in somehow. Once again, unsuccessful. So, I handed Nash my cigarettes and asked him to enjoy outside. We got him a Vodka Lime and met him outside. Me and Shank went inside a couple of times to dance to the indie tunes, but she knew most of it, and i’m cluelessly dancing.

12th October 2008

The last day I had to enjoy myself before I get my legs tampered with. So as planned, went out to Raya with the ever so cheerful bunch of ITE boys. I had a great deal of fun. We travelled in two cars and a van. Most of the time I was in the van and it was so much fun, with the door ajar on the expressway. Being in the car was good too, the air-con and the blasting music. We covered around 14 houses in total, from Eunos to Bedok to Tampines to Pasir Ris then to Ang Mo Kio and Yishun. Was awesome.

13th, 14th and 15th October 2008

The days when I experienced my first time being hospitalised. The first day was retarded, I was fit as hell, yet I had to wear that stupid fugly uniform and pretend that I’m sick, lying in bed forever. Had to fast that night, and the surgery was early the next day. Dad was there early in the morning, till late in the evening, for all three days. Surgery went fine, although they had to cut away part of my meniscus coz it was too badly damaged. Post-surgery was hell, coz I felt so disgustingly nauseous and dizzy due to the anesthesia.  I vomited badly and it made my stomach hurt like fuck. And thanks Shankari being there when I was sick like the old people. So here, I’d like to say thanks to those who took time off to visit me, ESPECIALLY to my Dad. Also includes my stepmother, brother, mother, stepfather, sister, Karl( sister’s fiancee), Shankari, Nadira, Pamela, Wenyong, Pakleng, Afiq, Nash, Joshua. Thanks for your gifts too.

20th October 2008

This day belongs to Shanky. It’s her birthday and the Innovians gathered at Sentosa’s Cafe Del Mar to celebrate it. I was doing okay without my crutches and we had a whole lot of fun watching Shanky turning 19. Hope she had fun too. It felt good to be out of the house after so long of imprisoning myself at home. Take this,

Well now, that’s about it so far. I’ve gone back to my “sit-at-home-and-do-nothing-productive” lifestyle in these two weeks I received an MC from school. Been playing GTA and guitar hero on PS3 all through the day. Hopefully things will change soon. It’s the leg man, it’s killing me. Gonna be taking out the stitches on the 29th, we’ll see what happens. Adios, do leave a comment.

Arabian Nights.

Went shisha-ing for the second consecutive night last night, feel like a true Arabian now. Two nights ago it was together with good friends from IJC and those who used to be Innovians: Azzrul, Nash, Faris, Tanty, Shahnaz, Sakinah and Hasyir. And last night was with my cousins, sister, mom and step-dad.

Been busy studying lately, and the stuff happening in my life isn’t helping at all. And there I was, staring at my desktop picture. I discovered this peculiar triangle forming around these three particular faces, and it made me wonder whether there was meaning in all of this. It’s all too confusing.

I’m not even sure if I’m looking forward to the rest of my life, at least the short term part of it. You people go ahead and enjoy life, and let me suffer here alone. I’ll survive, I’ll find a way to deal with it.

Waving the white flag.

Today, Sunday, is my stay home and study all day, day. Well, not really. I’ve been reading dynamics crap since morning and I’m sick of it. Physics just kills me. I can’t wait for mid course to be over, so I can pause studying for a while, and get this god damn leg fixed. More about that later.

Been listening to a couple of nice songs lately. Although it’s not so spanking new, I find it nice and it’s easily stuck to my head. I tend to get nice songs later than everybody else. So some of the titles appear as my personal message on msn, and it always gets people wondering. Some think I’ve fallen in love or some shit. NO! I am not supposed to be falling in love or anything of that sort, anytime soon. That’s a promise I made to myself, due to past experiences.

Some of the songs include David Cook’s ‘Always Be My Baby’ and Secondhand Serenade’s ‘Fall for you’. These are my current favourites okay. It’s like emo to a certain extent, I guess that’s how I’m feeling?

Anyyywayyyyy, I’ve decided(once again), that I’m going for my surgery at the end of the year. Recap, the Anterior Cruciate Ligament in my knee has snapped and has been for 5 years and counting. And lately, its been feeling worst than ever, and this was due to the fact that my meniscus is going, going and will soon be gone unless I do something about it. Ladies and gentlemen, the meniscus is the cushion in the knee area which cushions the upper leg bone to the lower leg bone. And it is irrepairable. Without it, I probably won’t be able to walk.

So everyone has had their chance to scare me and I now feel terrified that I might not be able to walk anymore. These people include the doctor himself, father, Shankari, and two cousins who’ve gone through it before. Hence, I’ve decided to sacrifice being Captain of Innova JC football team, oh how it hurts me alot, seriously, and also sacrificing my participation in next year’s A division. It’s one of the hardest things to do, but I have to do it. It’s time I stopped fighting the pain. Good luck to you guys. And if Mr. Koh and Tony sees this, sorry to you guys for not telling the truth I guess?

But but but, I’ve thought about it, and I want to lead the team for one last time during the match against Sports School this end of August. And I’m not sure if I’ll have the chance to join the Aquila futsal team in the interhouse games. Time to throw in the towel. =))

To end on a lighter note, well, actually, I have no idea of how to end on a lighter note. Anyway, I suddenly missed brother Dan. Hope he’s doing fine inside.

The A-Z party.

The end of school today was so looked forward to, after a fun filled and exhausting weekend. After days of planning, the A-Z party has finally passed. A great load of fun with close friends. It went well I can say. Took a lot of pictures, had a beautiful barney cake, got some nice presents, made some good new friends, had some drinks, played bowling and more shit like that. heheh. I really had fun.

And once again, I’d like to thank everyone for coming and thanks for all the gifts. And special thanks to Nadira, Yijie, Pamela for decorating the place. And super duper special thanks to Shankari the master planner of the event who did almost everything, even when she wasn’t feeling so well. Awww, we owe you one. Actually, we owe you 5? heh heh.

Pictures will be uploaded so it can tell the whole story.A couple of us went bowling. Hahah. I was like bowling like a pro and I won okayyy. Hahaha. As soon as we got back to the chalet, I just fell flat on the floor and lay down, before shankari was nice enough to bring me a matress to lay on.

Next day packed up a bit and cabbed home with marc. Paid for it. Got home and only had 15 minutes to get ready to go out with mom to carousel. Had a nice lunch but wasn’t feeling to well. But lunch there was really awesome with the seafood and everything else there. Chocolate fondue too. Mom brought me shopping at Zara after lunch and bought me some stuff. like okeh.

Got back early coz stepfather had a flight in the evening. So finally, some time to sleep, and I did. But it obviously wasn’t enough coz I went to school feeling like shit just now. I had the “I want to quit school” feeling in the morning once more. Maybe coz I didn’t have time to do all my schoolwork and the first period was practical and it was something nobody looks forward to. Oh well, it has all ended now anyway. Here are the pictures:

18 years, and counting.

Let me begin by saying ‘Thank You’ to everyone that has wished me a happy birthday. Be it advanced, or belated, all of it is fully appreciated. So thank you. =D

Okay so I guess yesterday was kind of the first day of the rest of my life. Hahaha. Well on the eve of my birthday had dinner with my family at Fish & Co. Just a normal celebratory dinner. I swore we could have fed an entire poverty-struck village with the amount of food we ordered. But we finished them anyway. Went home feeling satisfied and impatiently waiting for the clock to strike midnight.

And it did. Felt kinda normal. Haha. Went down to catch a quick puff just to see how it feels like. Haha, felt like such an idiot. Sat under my block receiving birthday smses and trying as hard as possible to reply every single one of them. Went back up and sat down in my room, excited but not knowing what do with all the excitement . And my internet connection like disconnected itself so there I was, staring at the TV, and the next thing I realised, there was morning sunshine.

So confirmed plans with friends to meet in the evening around 6. Not knowing what to do till then, I decided to join Shankari and Zhanyang to get stuff for our weekend plan. We went to mustafa center and it was like my first time there. Zhanyang was behaving like a kid the whole time, playing with everything within his reach. Maybe that’s what people do in their last week of being non-18. Heh. Then headed to TOPMAN marina square to get our high socks before we all headed our separate ways.

So went to meet my good friends back at Tampines and we headed to have dinner at Swensens. My treat. NOT!. So we got this free firehouse birthday ice cream with a candle. So I told them how I hated people who sang birthday songs and how embarrassing it would be.(the neighbouring table did that). And you know fuckers being who they are, the more u tell them not do something, the more they’ll do it. So they just had to embarrass me and sing as loud as they could while I struggled to hide myself under the table.

Went to Downtown East for bowling. And they just had to close half the bowling alleys for maintenance on the most important day of my life thus far. And the crowd at the Pool place didn’t help at all too. So we ended up sitting down at Coffee Bean enjoying everyone’s presence, joking and laughing like we always do. I could never ask for anything more, than to have a great time with everyone. =) Was dropped home by Noor in his Super Chevrolet!

So today went back to school. Had the thought of just quitting school while I was on my way to the toilet this morning. Just felt like giving up. So went to school with a slight limp from the birthday bash I received from God+myself. Doctor said I twisted my knee and now its all bruised up internally. Nice. So here are some pictures. Invitations out tomorrow!

  I’m a good brother okehh!
